Microsoft Exchange ConsultingWhat is in upcoming Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 service pack 3?

Microsoft officials recently announced that the Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3 is almost ready. They also mentioned their plan to release the new service pack 3 or SP3 by the first quarter of 2013 as well. Meanwhile, they had no problems in giving us a sneak peak in to the future of Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3 and what kinds of features it will include.

Microsoft Exchange Server is a collaborative client-server application that is used by organizational infrastructure and controls different kinds of services such as email, calendaring, contacts, tasks, wireless synchronization and projects. Such sophisticated applications always need to be updated with patches and bug fixes as there are always new risks and modifications in the way organizations operate. Hence, Microsoft develops service packs that are bundled with patches and upgrades that keep the system up and running.

Like service packs 1 and 2, the Service Pack 3 also packs a number of new features.  Among them is compatibility or coexistence with Exchange 2013. Now users can add Exchange Server 2013 in their current Exchange 2010 system with the SP3. In addition, the new Service Pack 3 allows users to install and deploy Exchange Server 2010 on computers with Windows Server 2013. Officials at Microsoft also claim that they have included all fixes requested by the customers and included the bug fixes in service packs 1 and 2.

The announcement about Service Pack 3 was made by the a few officials from Microsoft in the Microsoft Exchange Conference (MEC) week. According to them, the Service Pack will support Windows 7 and 8, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista. In addition, Exchange Server 2010 must be in the computer prior to installing Service Pack 3. People should also uninstall any Interim Updates for Exchange Server 2010 between service packs 2 and 3 in order to avoid any problems. According to several blogs, customers will need to update their Active Directory in order to install it. It’s a good idea to follow Microsoft’s blogs or Twitter feed to stay as up to date a possible with changes.

Testimonials

The biggest benefit to using Snider Technology is their ability to do a lot of things. Whether it is a cabling problem, software problem, or hardware problem, they are able to take care of it. It's a young company that works hard to keep up to date on new technology. They are not afraid to try something new and do the research to make it happen.
